Default Help with Lowrance 332 not finding bottom

I was out this weekend for the fishing opener and had nothing but problems with my Lowrance 332. The unit was never able to pick up bottom. It continually told me we were in 60-100’ of water when we were fishing 20-29 FOW. The transducer was set in the right position. Does anyone have any clues on what could be the problem? My Humminbird Matrix 67 worked just fine. I noticed at the end of the ice fishing season that the 332 was not able to pick up the lure. It found bottom in 12 FOW but would not pick up the lure. I figured it must be the transducer. This weekend I was using my boat mounted transducer and it was never able to find the correct depth.
Any suggestions?

The Lowrance also lost our positions numerous times (we turned the sonar off and used it for gps only). I have the LGC 2000 puck that with Velcro on the back so I can move it when I move my locator.

I am ready to go purchase a newer Humminbird as my Matrix 67 which is 7 years old has never let me down. I bought the 332 because at the time Humminbird would not take Lakemaster chips.
