One of the dirty little secrets within the industry is that regular old Core Lokts are VERY good bullets. I have watched a bunch of elk tip over in the last few decades after getting one through the lungs and would not hesitate to take a broadside shot with one in 165 grains just as far as I was sure I could put it where it needed to go. I usually bow shoot my elk, but when I do rifle one I usually use Nosler Parts. in which ever caliber I have in my hands, for the simple fact that if the shot that presents itself is quartering away, I want to be sure my bullet will penetrate a long way to get into his soft spots.
