Actually everytime I have tried a combo trip I end up not fishing. Drug my boat to northern Minn once. It ended up just being a glorified trailer. Once I see a grouse its over. All I want to do is hunt.

I love both and look forward to the time outdoors that both present. However, there is nothing that I enjoy more then watching my dogs, whether its from the goose pit or working pheasants and grouse. The ability to enjoy both for the majority of the year is what made me decide to move to central SD.

I am very lucky that my lab loves to fish. When trolling, he knows to go to the bow and watch until fish is coolered. When drifting, he actually watches one of the poles and whines if he thinks it has a bite. I bird hunt with him and we also get squirrels.
