Thought I would post a picture for you Ranger guys who have trouble with the belly strap scuffing the boat while trailering. I had the same problem with the last boat so here's what I did.
I had the tarp shop cut the strap and ran them down to the trailer instead of under. I then run the strap from the outside to the inside of the trailer frame and back to the D-ring or buckle. Mine doesn't flap at all down the road but you can put a twist in them too that will help. It is far enough from the boat this way that it won't touch at all. You also don't need to drag the strap through the wet dirt and mud when putting it on. If it is windy out I can put the tarp on by myself by loosely attaching the side that wants to blow first. I also took the back straps and had them cut to be able to attach to the buckle strap for the tarp instead of all the way under and got rid of the one that goes around the motor all together. Makes life way easier and saves time. Hope it helps. Bill |
