I overlay the digital depth on my sonar screen. I noticed yesterday that the digital depth is 4-5 feet deeper than the bottom line on the screen. Keel offset is zero.
Any ideas why both depths are not identical and what the solution(s) are? Thanks |

Thanks for the reply Hawker.
I am not very good with pictures but I will try and take pictures tomorrow when I am out fishing. For example, the digital depth overlayed on the screen say 25 feet but the bottom reading on the screen shows 20 feet. |

I'd say your range ajustment needs some tuning.

I am posting as Unlogged because I am at the cabin using my wife's laptop and I don't remember my password. I usually post as Garry B.
Copperdog, my depth range is set on automatic. Could the different depths be caused by the angle my transducer is pointing? My transducer is not mounted level. When it was level I lost the bottom after getting on plane. I adjusted the transducer so the back of the transducer is slightly lower than the nose. |
