Default Pipestone-Clearwater chain or Leech

I am looking for any thoughts or experiences on this chain. My fishing partner and I will be spending a few days fishing new water on our way to LOTW this year and this place caught my eye. We would be there mid July. Has anybody been there or know somebody who has? We rarely fish clear water so we would consider a guide on the first day if you could recommend one. We also are considering Leech for a couple days If anybody is willing to share experiences there. Has anybody here fished both? Any feedback from either water is appreciated. Does anybody know where you can get maps for the chain?

Default Go North

My experience is if you have the option is to go North of Clearwater into Pipestone. You have to go through a boat launch and pay the fee but its worth it. It seems to reduce the number of fishermen and pressure on Pipestone. We fished one year on Pipestone and had a good overall trip. The next year someone wanted to save money and we went the Clearwater route (resorts were a little cheaper, also didn't have to pay the launch fee, etc). Definitely more boats, and pressure. We cut our 4 day trip short by a day and went home early because of fewer fish.

Pipestone has some great musky fishing. It can be challenging, but excellent trophy potential is there. Clearwater can be good, but does have a lot more boat traffic.
