Default LSS unit

Does this unit develop much heat when in use? Can it be mounted in a confined space with no air circulation?

I've not started to install and was wondering what others experience has been.

Thanks,
Pooch

Mine is mounted in the drivers cubby hole (I guess the cubby was built for the drivers feet or maybe as a small storage area) under the steering console. Mounted it vertically against the back wall. I hang my planner board holder over the cubby so it gets little ventilation. Have not had any issues yet.

I have had mine mounted right next to my battery box for 2+ years with no problems. I have never felt any heat.

There's really very little heat that comes off the LSS module. Either a rod box mount or under the console would be my recommendation. Both locations would provide pretty easy access should you need to do some trouble-shooting.
