Phoenix trailers vs Eagle

I have an Eagle tandem bunk under my Lund 1900 and it is virtually identical to an Eagle I had under my previous Lund. I was told that Eagle trailers were started by ex-employees of Eagle. Any know of a connection there? True?
By the way, I really like the trailer. Well-made. (No sponsorship or connections with either Co.)
