looking for a decent pounder rod, kinda medium price range. I'm heading to the big V

give thorn bros a call you need a xxhevy predator great rod for the pounders put a tranx on it and you will have a great combo love mine

I am not 100% what he meant by medium price range, but that seems mildly expensive.

I would suggest a Tackle Industries Mega Heavy XXH Rod or a ToothTamer TT80XXXHC Rod for your price range.

X2 on the Tackle Industries,picked one up last year,for $120 and free shipping you can't go wrong.

yep, TI XXH or like mentioned about the tooth tamer is a good option too.

if you want a cheap rod buy a ti if you want a good rod go to thorn bros i bought a ti rod xx hevy the only way i can use my ti rod is to lob the pounders the rod loads up way to fast i was told they fixed this problem but i have a rod i dont use because it dont do what i want it to do i would never buy another ti rod again there are many good rods out there i would get a 9 footer my new rod is a 9'8 love it
