Default Prop review

I just wanted to let anyone interested know about the performance of the new Nemesis 4 blade prop by Mercury.

Ricky "the prop man" set me up with this prop and it is absolutely great.

The prop is a 13 x 17 and is on a 115 Mercury 4 stoke, it replaced the 13 x 17 3 blade stock prop on the motor. This is on a 2011 1750 Crestliner Raptor.

Results:
1. Hole shot is excellent, take hardly any throttle to get on plane.
2. Corners like a dream with no blow-outs.
3. Loaded boat, 33 gallons gas, tackle, 2 people, cooler, live well and the prop ran 6200 RPM and 46.2 MPH.

Can not say enough good things about the prop and with the cost under 150.00, IMO it can't be matched.

Those are pretty darn good #s from a 4 blade aluminum prop.

Default 3 Blade

With the 3 blade I ran 42.4 GPS. The biggest advantage I noticed was the hole shot (Bow Lift) it was much better. Keeping the motor trimmed up would at times lead to blow out cornering, this prop also holds much better.

Nothing bad to say about the prop. At least not yet.....
