Default Ranger trailer proble

Hey guys .
Having an issue with my brakes I believe. The boat really jerks on stops and starts. It never used to do this . Seems like there is no resistance against it . At the front of the trailer just behind the ball where the sliding bolt looking things are is where the noise is from. It is making loud noises and I know it's going to get worse . Is it possible there is no pressure in the lines ? Any help is appreciated .
Thanks

I'd check your brake fluid level as suggested. Usually there is a plastic cap on the tongue hitch that pops off and exposes the fluid fill area.

Are you having any issues with your brakes?

You may have to bleed the system.

My guess is the brakes are fine and the problem is the actuator or the shock absorber. UFP has a good web page that will show you the parts breakdown.

I think it would be a good idea to pull both wheels and hubs and check everything on the trailer braking system.

You may have a hub that is locking up incorrectly, a bad set of brakes or actuating mechanism.

You may have rust in the system that is causing binding.

You may have to replace some defective parts in the surge system of your trailer tongue.

Good luck
