Default Mille Lacs

My wife and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Reddoor on Mille Lacs. Putting aside the tree limb falling on my truck during a storm. Caught lots of slot fish and one over 28.5 inches. Kept a total of 11 between us and the couple that went along. My wife caught a personal best of 26.75 inches and a beautiful 18.5 inch smallie. We only fished three days due to rain storms etc. I know, I know fish in any condition but I am at the point in my life that I am into comfort as well as fishing :-)
I did notice that the bigger fish seemed to me to be skinny. I don't know if there is a forage problem up there or what.

Glad to hear this trip to Mille Lacs was better than the previous one. Sounds like you got in on a pretty good bite and had a good time as well. The "Good Time" is the important part of any fishing trip.

Thanks for the report.

Best Fishes,

Bob Jensen
