Default leech tamer bag

We have used leech tamer bags the last 3 years in Canada with great results. We use a six pack cooler, put 2 frozen bottles in bottom, wash bedding off and put worms in bag on top of bottles. Each day, we change bottles and add more worms as needed. We do this for the whole week and do not put the worms from the tamer bag back into the bedding each night. We have also used the bags with the ice/water method, but we think that using frozen bottles is easier. Another advantage, while fishing we just toss the bag back and forth when we need to bait up.

No wonder my boat is such a mess. I think I must be one of the only guys who just leaves them in the styrofoam box with the worm bedding in a regular cooler. I have fished with guys who just pull out a half dozen at a time and throw them in an old ice cream bucket with a little water in it. I do this if someone brings worms packed in dirt on my boat.

I like the Hagen's product. Looks like that might be the way to go for ease of use.

I saw an episode of Lindner's Angling Edge, where they used a shallow plastic container. They put in layer of ice, several layers of paper towels, and clean crawlers.

I fill the outside about 2/3 water then stick in chest freezer overnight. take out in morning, put couple paper towels in bait compartment. I then wash my crawlers in a bucket and throw them in the bait compartment. they stay cool all day no matter what the temp. clean out bait compartment and back in the freezer after I'm done. You can just fill with crushed/cubed ice as well.
I use these too. Acutally have two of them. One for crawlers and one for leeches.
