i have one of the factory installed chargers on a ranger as well...
i've noticed with the larger capacity batteries that if i fish hard all day (drink a bit less then i used to at night) and get on the water early in the morning i can get to the boat before the charger is fully complete in the past; say 5 years ago i don't ever remember getting to the boat before the charging was completed

Couple of things i've noticed when it comes to charging batteries. Use as heavy a cord and as short as possible. A 16 gauge 100 ft cord, while very convenient us hard on a charger.
Keep charger cool, open compartment to let out excess heat from charger. Last edited by Papascott; 06-28-2012 at 07:04 AM. |
