So tell me about them?
I found a decent deal on a new 1875 Pro V powered by a 175 V-Rod. I've always lusted after a Pro V and was wondering... The good, the bad and the ugly. What are your likes, loves and other about the Lund Pro V.

I have had one for about four months now. To me the layout, ride, and fishability are the best attributes of the boat. At 18 feet 10 inches it feels and rides like the bigger boats out there. I have the same motor 175 Verado and my best speed so far running with the current and a tailwind is 54.2 mph on the GPS. The holeshot and midrange power are excellent as well. Finally the price on this boat is quite a bit more affordable than the 1975 or 2075 and it fits in my garage. I can easily launch and load it by myself or I can drag along two or three other people and still have room to fish. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions.

^^ Pretty much sums it up. I got the same setup in March. Love it!! Last weekend finally was out by myself, half tank of gas and got 55.3mph SOG. Have fished 9 rods 4 guys without bumping into each other. Really happy that I went with the 1875 over the 1775 I had orginally went in to get. |

Trolling is pretty much 85% of the fishing that I do. The Sportrac system is great because then when I have more people in the boat than I normally would, I move some rods up to the front of the boat for action without them having to move around too much.
There is a guy in the area that has a 200 on the back of his and talking with him he sees speeds in the upper 50's with tourney load and passenger. Low 60's by himself. I really like the livewell setup. I removed the bait bucket from the rear livewell, and only put it in the front when actually using live bait. Otherwise my front well is normally used as a cooler. I have not had a fish die on me yet in the well, but the hot temps of summer are still to come. My only real complaint about the boat is the rod locker. Really wish I could fit my trolling rods in there. Been thinking of modifying it to work though. |

I have had a 1800 Pro V for 7 years and owned two other boats prior. This hands down is the best boat. It will have everything you will ever need. I elected to go with a single counsel to increase the fishing space. I primarily musky fish with my two grown sons and we have plenty of room. The 175 will be more then enough motor!

I'm in my 3rd year with a 1900 prov with full windshield/ 200 HP Verado. I love mine.
Features I really like: 1. Extremely versatile fishing machine. Mostly fish walleye, but I do everything from casting/trolling musky to fly fishing carp and never want for anything. 2. Comfort and styling, great hull design for tin and I love the air pedestal seats, great for an old back. 3. Excellent livewells/baitwells 4. Tracks and drifts nicely, fairly low freeboard 5. Adequate storage, center rod locker can be improved upon (see W/C archive) 6. Well constructed/ it's a tank, taken care of and it will last a lifetime and then some 7. Pro track for mounting various things for which I'm previously known to leave on top of gunnels and generate structure. 8. One of the better tin riding boats, like night and day over previous boat 9. Love the digital throttle and the Verado, so quiet, easy to manuever. I've been a 4 stroke guy for 15 years and this is my 2nd Verado. That said, if I were you I'd give serious consideration to the new Merc 4 stroke. 10. Wide gunnels for various rigging options to increase presentation spreads. Things that could be improved upon, and maybe they are now: 1. Seats IMHO are not on par with the qualitty of the boat. To Lund's credit, all 4 of mine were replaced and the current ones seem to be holding up much better. 2. Fasteners at windshield- mine need locktighted, this shouldn't happen when laying out this kind of dough This is boat number 7 in my lifetime and I don't ever see me selling her. I fell in love with the prov about 10 years ago and simply wasn't satisfied until I owned one. Last edited by doubleheader; 06-28-2012 at 06:41 AM. |

Have the 1875 ProV double bubble with a 200 Vrod and a 9.9. Prop is a 19 pitch Tempest 2. Consider the under console storage drawers. I thought they were standard - they are an option. Have had 9 Lunds - 1st one with a bunk trailer - I do a lot of shallow launches and wish I had a roller trailer - just purchased bunk slides - see if that will help. Lund custom snap cover works great - much better than previous Lund snap cover on 1850 Tyee. Have a set of Lund downrigger mounts that I am not going to use. Overall Love my Lunds.
