Default Going Rate for a Guide

What is the approx current daily rate for a muskie guide? 1. If you furnish your own boat and your own tackle . 2 The guide furnishes the boat and possibly the tackle . What is a normal full day time frame ?

Default

300.00 to 400.00 for a full day muskie guide. 175.00 to 225.00 for a half day. I'm not sure what reduction you could expect using your own boat.

Default Use Own boat

I have had experiences in boats that are less spacious and I will always offer to take mine.

Default morson area, lake of the woods

havent heard prices like that anywhere in our area.

some resorts run 30 foot launches for walleye fishing with 3-4 people and get that price in morson.

typical guide fees in morson are: $150-$175 for 2 people if the guide jumps in your boat. Extra chage for more people and/or trail boats.

With their boat it varies depending on type of boat, gas situation, shorelunch, etc, etc.

One of our resort rentals would run you $110-$130 for a 16 foot boat and 40/50 HP 4 stroke motor.

Guide days most often form 8am to 5pm.

If I was guiding out of my 19 foot Alumacraft for a full day (10, 12, 14 hours) of muskies, I wouldn't do it for less than $300 plus gas for my 90 HP 4 stroke tiller. I don't have the pedigree of bigger names in the business either, yet.

I wouldnt fish in someone else boat for a guide trip. Having equipment i'm comfortable with for boat control, electronics with GPS markings i've spent lots of time and effort to get pinpointed for more precision casting/trolling is part of giving a guest a better chance to get on fish. Particulary when fish are using rock structure.

Default not in morson

not sure where all of those places are, but don't recognize them from our area. they wouldnt be too busy in our neck of the woods with those rates. kenora, sioux narrows have always been higher priced gernally speaking.
