If they are eating crawfish try orange/chartruese spinners. I use a rig float to keep it from snagging and go thru the rockiest areas. I fish some areas with tons of crawfish and that system works great for me. Dont be afraid to go fast. When you are mimicking a crawfish you have to work the rod to get the stop and go action of a natural craw. Hang on! when a 25" decides its a craw and he nails it you dont want to drop the rod.
