Default best lawnmower with bagger

I have not purchased a lawn mower since 1987. My niece wants to buy a tractor with bagger. Bagging is important to her and is the only option she will consider.
Recommendations would be greatly appreciated?

Best? Dunno. I have a 12 YO Craftsman lawn tractor with 3-bin bagger. It has done a fine job whenever I decided to bag clippings.

I think that Consumer reports had an issue on those recently.

I think for push Toro is on top in most categories.

I think cup cadet is very good riders. Not sure about todays john deere models. the old ones were bullet proof but not sure now days. Check with a local small engine repair shop to see what he has in his shop the most.

Lots of folks would rather sweep the lawn after mowing rather than the hassle of tubes plugging and baggin when the grass is just cut and wet.

Default Honda

I have found the Hondas to be best. The bags are easy to use and the mulching capability is tops.

Unless you have one that had a transmission go out as I did. Look it up. Many bad units. Motors are bullet proof however.

TORO, I've had the GTS(Guaranteed To Start) 6.5HP for 11 years and it's been a work horse! No problems with regular maintence.

the OP appears to be looking for a tractor style with a bagger

if money isn't an issue grasshoppers are amazing; both my father and brother have them with baggers; they rock; but serious money

i've had a couple john deere tractor style mowers (also use them for moving snow in the winter); they have both done very good job of bagging; but the trick is to get one with a 2 blade (not 3 blade) deck

neighbor has a 3 blade deck; both of mine have been 2 blade; he'll plug very often i never do unless i overfill the bags or the grass is hyper wet

the jd deck's also never needs cleaning; many of my friends / co-workers have cub's/craftsmans and they are constantly fiddling with the decks or they plug; i clean mine once a year when i swap it out for the snowthrower

you need to watch the series of jd; they have cheaper ones and better ones; do a little searching and you'll find what works
