I did not hear anything, BW. I just figured that with my luck, now that I am strongly considering this rig, that they may discontinue it. I actually called the factory yesterday, and left a voicemail; 6 hours later I got a call back from one of their Engineers telling me that it was not even being considered to discontinue the 618T. so no worries there.

I have 12' 618T with Etec 90 Minnkota vantage & I pilot (24v), Humminbird 1198 and wave wackers
I have not heard of the model being discontinued, they normally release next year models in July.
The Etec has the oil tank under the cowling, so one back hatch has the starting battery and the other is open. I still store things in both.
I too have the I Pilot (best thing out there and about to get ALOT better watch for it at I cast) so I don't use the anchor department for an anchor I use it to stow a drift sock (the compartment has a drain in it)
Forward troll 2.3 mph back troll 1.2 mph top speed 32-34 if you don't have a front trolling motor add 1-2 mph.
I have a radio from factory so I don't what size would fit but I think you would have a hard time seeing it, I know I have in other boats.
