Go to a battery store and purchase any battery you like and pay the bill. Purchase complete.

Having said that, my group 31 standard batteries that sell for less than $100 have been giving me 7-10 years of service and battery life that is little different than the Trojans.

But, that is what is great about this country. Everyone can purchase any item that they can pay for.

I might have to consider that. The Trojans are now fetching $240 Cdn. Yikes!

Default Good Battery

I just bought 2 of the ones REW posted, and I must say they hold up great!
I don't have a kicker so we troll with the Ipilot at 1.8-2.4 and at the end of the day the meter still reads 3/4,well worth the $100 apc.

Default Not so sure

Guys,

I'm not so sure that one person's years of battery use compares to another person's years of use. It may be more related to the number of charge/discharge cycles. I fish most everyday, year round and use four. Two for trolling motor and two for starting/electronics. I use both Everstart (Walmart) and Interstate. Starting batteries last three years. Trolling batteries last two. After that they still charge up good but run out of steam on the water. Not good. Would I do better with Trojan or Optima? Maybe. I read Consumer Reports recommendations and am yet to be convinced to spend more on a "better" battery.

Again I agree with REW, go to Batteries Plus. They have Trojans if you want them but I think they are one of the most overrated products in the industry. I got better life and run time out of my Batteries Plus ones. About 6-8 years ago everybody on the this site would chastize you if you said a bad word about Trojan, you don't hear that anymore. Their pricing is insane.

I like the AC delco and they last for me and they also hold a charge longer when not in use . Thats the most I will spend for a battery and worth the extra money .

After the tournament (10th/105) I found a suspicious connection, so cleaned them all and cycled 3 times. A 31/2 hour day in moderate winds left three bars on the Terrova. I guess I'll get another year out of them.
