Im sure its the same as leech Rock reefs have been better on leech small jig and minnow as the walleyes are up shallow eating crawfish hint!!! Lindy and leech or crawler works. Trolling spinners has worked some days but with all the storms moving in every ten minutes its tuff and yes the Mayfly hatch is strong now. Big fish are being caught and some nice limits reported if your in the correct spot.

Just got back from a pretty good week on Cass. The bite was never really aggressive but we caught nice keepers everyday. Mostly on the north side fishing in 12 to 18 fow. Plain snell hook and a bottom bouncer seemed to work the best tipped with a leech.

Did you stay at one of the resorts on Cass? Which one?

We used to stay at "Sunset Cove Resort" formerly "Dicks Sunset Cove Resort" Located in the SW end of Cass, near town. Now it's called "Allens Bay Lodge" Great place, good owners, great fishing! Have not been there since 2003... need to get back there soon.
