Default ipilot remote

Has anyone with the older, hard to read ipilot remote, looked into getting the newer version that's easier to read? Can you send the old model in and get the newer one at a discount?

Is the new one that much better? I mean if you have used the old one a few times how hard can it be to know where the correct buttons are? It's like the remote for my tv, after using it a while I never look at the buttons anymore.

I painted the rasied symbols white and it works great. Seems to be staying on great too.

Default Don't think so

I have never seen anything on sending in your old one for a discount on a new one, as with everything else, technology/products change and companies can't be giving discounts to everyone that bought there old products, new products = more sales $$ to the manufacturers. The new one is quite a bit easier to use and the screen is considerably easier to read. Buy the new one and use your old one for a spare or backup.

It is not about the buttons for me. I can not read the screen for setting speed (cruise) control. I know my eyes are getting worse but after spending 4 days of pulling spinners and not knowing exact speed set at, I ordered new remote the day I got back.

I expect mine in the mail later this week.
