Default 07 prokicker throttle linkage?

hey guys, I was out on lake michigan today for some salmon. Right off the batt my kicker wont throttle up. It starts, idles and shifts but wont rev up, I can feel something amiss in the shift at the helm..I am assuming that the cable is broke or needs adjusting. Is there a way to get at the cables without taking the whole assembly off that holds the throttle for the vrod and my kicker? Is it a pita dealiong with the linkages? The boat is an 08 pro-v 1800..

edit, I just went out and took the plate off that hold the shifters for both the main angine and the kicker at the helm. Everything "looks OK" but the kicker shifts hard into reverse and still wont throttle up at all...Throttle on the engine doesnt move....

Check the linkages - My two lock nuts under the hood continue to back off after several trips. Don't over tighten though, they just but up to plastic guides. Sounds like something came loose and you are now off kilter on the correct lever movement......
