Default Tourney at mac

The tournament is Nebraska Walleye Trail's . Shut up and fish walleye tourney. What a great showing. 57 teams are competing for over $20,000 in cash & prizes and 2 tickets to the Cabala's Nationals. That's pretty good for a lake that surrounded by corn fields and cowboys

I wonder why they don't pull 100 boats for this one. 10 years ago the CWA pulled 100 boats for tourneys on lakes. Maybe just a sign of the times.

Default You said it all

You said it all brother!!! "A few years ago. "
A few years ago the gas was way under $ 2.00 a gallon.
A few years ago the economy was booming.
A few years ago you could a ford to take time off to go fishing .
A few years ago you had the money to play with out taking it out of your family's mouth..
Now you work all you can to put a roof over your head and food on the table.
Sure their a lot of guys that can a ford doing that a take the time to pre fish.
But the guys that are missing are the guys and gals that can't .
Out here in husker country we do not have a 100 or more Walter Scott's or Rockefeller s or Kennedy's ect. ect.

Pulling cranks and crawler harness rigs on snaps or lead have been working well for big walleyes as well as numbers. Suspending fish in 30-40ft of water have been aggressive in the last 2 weeks, most have been hanging around 15ft down and 1.5mph has been very productive from just east of lemoyne to otter creek...if you can stand the heat!

Was there on 6/28 and 6/29. Brought home 8 fish, biggest were 23.5" and 24.5". Lots of people fishing Sand Point and around Van's. We were a few miles from both and all alone where we found them

Default Any other reports?

Heading out in a couple of weeks fishing for fun with my 70 year old dad. Was wondering if there are any other reports? Would like to get him on some good fish. Thanks!

We've been picking up a few 15-16" walleyes and a few perch trolling and drifting 10' to 17' drop offs from Lakeview and east and Otter Creek and to the east. It takes a lot of searching though. Slow Death has done the most damage. No limits but a good fish fry after 4 days of fishing.
