Thats what year my T8 is, do you remember roughly what it cost then, and how long ago did it happen?

I had the same thing happen and what you need to do is pull the pump assembly off of the motor which is very easy to do. Water probably got into the brush assembly and you might be able to clean it up but more likely you will have to replace the assembly. If you have to replace the frame end that could be alot of money, but you might be ok. Make sure you replace the O-ring by yhr stator assembly. here is a link

The trim motor went out on my friends F115 and it was full of water and the brushes were worn down. I found a aftermarket one on ebay for 175 bucks. The OEM one is over 600. I would check there first.

I replaced mine two years ago and there were no aftermarket replacements. It cost a little over $400. We sealed the exterior of the motor as best as possible when it went back together and it has held. Good luck.
