Default Yamaha t-8 idle

I have a 2006 Yamaha T-8 with trollmaster hooked up, and I would like to know if I can adjust the idel on this motor easily? when it is in neutral or "idle" it really is still pretty reved up. Problem is if I hit IDLE on the trollmaster and stay in gear im still moving at about 1.7mph

Thanks

I cant help you with the adjustment but you certainly are idling way to fast. My T-8 idles me down to about .6 or so. I'm @ 15-16 on my TM to be travelling @ 1.7 if the lake is glass.

There is a set screw on the throttle arm on the carbureator, just back it off a bit to slow down the idle.

Put the gear shifter in neutral, throttle all the way down. Loosen the rod nut on the Trollmaster solenoid or at the card, whichever works better for you. manually move the carb butterfly to idle position if it doesn't go there itself, Re-tighten the rod nut. Y may also have to readjust the position of the arm on the solenois. Take a look at the installation videos on Trollmasters website.

Default Trollmaster and T-8 Idle

I just installed a Trollmaster on my T-8. First time I tried it I had the idle much to high because of my screw up on the install. Readjusted and now it works great. Nice product, you'll like it.
