Default Lake Michigan , Lake Superior

Hello: I wanted to know if any body fishes either lake for Salmon and trout with a small boat, 17" Alumacraft fishing boat. Areas close to shore ? Thank You O - R

Many people do, just pick your days carefully. In April-June, there are lots of fish available in the shallows close to shore.

I used to fish a lot in April May fish are shallow we used flat lines with shad rapps. Had to be careful and pick the days with the right wind. Never went out more than a mile or so, and always be aware of where the port/boat launch is in case you need to make a mad dash back to shore. Storms can come up quick on you.
