Thumbs up Ranger 175T Angler Performace Report

I was able to really wrap my hand around the New 175T Tiller addition to Ranger lineup and was i surprised. If you ever owned or wanted to own a 680 or 681 tiller then this boat is what you want are looking for.

175T with 75 E-Tec
Full tank of fuel
15" pitch Viper 3 blade prop
3" setback
Bow mount trolling motor
2 adults

Below is using GPS and stopwatch:

0-20 mph 5.3 seconds
WO 38.5 mph

With side livewell full and 2 adults.
0-20 mph 8.3 seconds
WO 35 mph

The boats rides very nicely across the waves and backtrolls and holds.
For the person who fishes inland and makes some trips to larger bodies (Leech/Winni) and such this is going to be a great boat.

I sold my 680 and have a new 175T coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any questions please call 1-218-255-3535

Pretty impressive! I knew that combo would do well compared to the overweight merc 4stroke or the underpowered other motors!! Glad to hear they finally pryed your hands off the old boat George!!

I should not have read this! Now I have to start planning how to sneak this one past the Missus. Thanks for the report George. Did you take any pictures? Is the E-TEC rigged on jack plate that it has a 3" set back?

Yes the motor is rigged on 3" setback. We had probably 12 people run this boat yesterday and everyone said the same thing what a great remake of the 681 with current upgrades and the performance is out of this world. Looking at how well the boat performs with a 75 E-Tec really gets a person wondering how would the 60 E-Tec push it, my guess probably pretty well.

The one reason i really like the new boat is that it's longer and wider than what my 680 was, and with the 75 E-Tec it is really fun to drive and cross the water.

The boat sits and looks much diff in the water than on the trailer. Had one guy walk up from the parking lot and thought we had a 681 tied to the dock.

Ranger did a great job on the 175T.

I do have some pictures that i can e-mail.

Default Looks Good!

I want a blue one! I would really like to see a video of this boat performing in 10-15 mph winds on an average size lake.

Did this one have 3 batteries on board?

Thanks for the pictures!

Chuck
