what line for trolling cranks

Maxima, 10 or 12. I like 12 but my buddies all run 10 so it depends on whos boat we take.

Have tried braid and went back to mono. 10lb XT. With braid you WILL loose more fish. Even with the right rod and reel set up with the right drag doesn't compare to the stretch of mono.

In snaggy or river situations I use braid.
