I noted that in my post, it was a smidge high but not by much. MPG I posted were actual, not off the computer. I filled it up twice yesterday which was a pain but figured it is worth it if somebody is on the fence about getting one.

My father worked for GM for 44 years and I have alway's purchased my vehicles through the Employee Discount Program. Now that both my father and mother have passed, I purchase them through the GM Legacy Program. The benefits are the same as before, except it only pertains to a child of the employee. Before my children could get the discounts too.

I looked at a Cruze and drove one for a couple of days, liked it, but didn't like the idea of paying $995 for an auto trans plus a couple $K more to get it with the same options as a base Honda Civic. The best the Chevy dealer would do is $21K for an Eco with auto and the Honda dealer dropped $2K off sticker dropping it to $17,500, plus 0.9% financing. Honda averages 34 mpg city and 42-43 hwy, about the same as the Cruze.

I liked the cars about the same and was ready to get the Cruze (before I discoverd the discount was gone)but I'm not willing to put an extra $3,500 in the pockets of Gov't Motors.
Smae story for me, only Traverse versu Pilot. Who in the world would pay more fr a GM product than Honda, OMG, read consumer report reliability ratings and which one gets better marks and likely better resale value? hmmmmm

If you want accuracy, you need to validate your odometer too. Doesn't matter how accurate your real fuel use is if the odometer is off.
