Default Where To Mount 2 HDS-8 Units At Console of 2004 Ranger 620?

I don't want either one to be flush mount in the dash. Just looking for advice on where to mount, which mount to use (Ram, Stabil, Cisco), etc. My 620 is dual console, not full windshield. If anyone has pictures, that would help too.
Thanks in advance,
Bones

Two ram mounts with 2.25" balls. One short arm and one long arm. My buddy as his 620 like this. Will try to get you a picture tomorrow night.

I have nothing helpful to add but I was wondering why you (or people in general) put two units at the dash? I guess as opposed to one at the dash and one at the bow.

Why wouldn't they just get a unit that does both?

Big screen for each extra gps in case one stops working. HDS-8 units have both.

Default Update!!!

Well, I think I am going to go with an HDS-10 at the console instead of the two HDS-8's. I am already used to the 10" screen (currently have 104c). Now I need to know how to mount the new HDS-10. I never liked the old Ram mount I had with the 104c. It was too small (only the 1 and 1/2 inch ball). I was constantly tightening the knobs and it kept slipping and hitting my knuckles while steering the boat. My 2004 Ranger 620 doesn't have the best spots for mounting electronics. I have included a pic to show you all what I am dealing with. I can't go with a flush mount (too big, and I don't want that). I think the Cisco mount and the Stabil mount are too short to put where the current Ram mount is. I don't know if there is enough strength to mount to the brown plastic piece (where you would normally flush mount a unit). So, looking for more advice. Thanks again.

Default Cisco

The Cisco mount works in that spot. I've seen it. I have an 04 621 and have the HDS Ram ball and it still eventually moves. I had to support it underneath with 2 sturdy kids balls and have them duct taped in (looks bad). I just bought the Cisco for mounting a 10 on the bow and it doesn't move. I will be getting another for the dash soon. (unless Cisco has made more models of these and some don't work....that should work great)

Default Another Option

Here is another option with a custom bracket that was powder coated black. This is a rock solid mount.

I had Ram mounts until the frustration got to me, I looked at Stabil mounts, then ended up with Cisco... That's the best mount I have ever used.....
