Default 620t with 125 speed?

Was wondering what you guys out there are getting for speed with a 620 t with a 125 motor are getting. Also which prop are you running with your setup. I have this rig and am getting 38 mph gps speed on better days. Iam running a 20 pitch laser 2. This seems a bit slow to me. Thanks

Tiller,
Could be about right for the rig and motor.
What do you have for engine rpm.

If you are not getting to the red line on your motor, you might be better off running an 18 or 19 pitch prop.

If you are lugging the motor and not getting the recommended engine rpms, you can often gain speed by going down in pitch on the prop. The lower pitch will let the motor rev higher, hit a better power point on the engine and actually push your boat faster.

But the speed of 38 is really not unreasonable for this boat with the 125 on the back.

Be safe

Remember - loaded - this boat weighs over 2000 lbs. The boat is also 7 1/2 feet wide. A big wide reasonably heavy boat. So, the speed you are getting is not unreasonable.
