Don't you think that Cabelas and Bass Pro have a little more overhead than Franks? All of those beautiful destination stores cost money.

That is my point regarding prices.
I see. Thanks for clarifying your point.

Have a great day......It's a crappy day here...good day to clean the boat.

The bait shop by me is charging $39.99 per os walleye board that is without the tattle flag kit easy to see why someone would go the cheaper route.

I don't know why people would pay $39.99 for a board when you can buy 2 with the flag kits installed for $69.99 with a carry bag (worthless) at franksgreatoutdoors.com and have them shipped but they don't include the pinned release on the back.

Add $10 shipping and your at $80 for 2 but with the flag kit.

Default Opti Boards

Mybe the cheap Opti Boards will force the prices down on the other boards. I will be buying some boards the first of the month, but being on a small disibilty check I can't afford Church, or Off Shore with tattle tail flags, I will more than likely buy the Opti Boards.
I don't like doing that, but Church and Off Shore are to dadgum high for the
poor fisherman. Fish is a big part of our food source. At our house we are in the survival mode every day.
Last year I bought 2 off shore boards with tattle tail flags, and it cost me close to $100 dollars, ...that's ridiculous...soooo China Opti Boards at looking good to me.
Shoot just about everything you and I have is made in China, or some 3 world country. Most outboard motors are from China, so I won't feel bad about not buying a American made product, we are just tring to survive.

Offshore has raised their prices to a frothy level. If you go to the Offshore website they are charging $38 per board. I remember when they used to be $20. Thirty eight seems excessive in my book.

I think the going rate at Fleet Farm is in the $26 range for an Off Shore board. It's not like a lead head jig where you lose a bunch every season.

I think the high price's of planer boards are the fisherman's own fault. If we stop buying them maybe they would stop gouging us. On the other hand if people are paying $50,000 and $60,000 for fishing boats, then what else would the sporting good stores think?
When it comes to fisherman's toys, we will spend the money..lol
