Default Need feedback on Lund Crossover

I've read every thread on here that talked about the following boats.

Ranger 1850RS
Lund 186 GL Tyee
Lund Crossover

I'm and lund guy and have always had tin. That said, I'm considering moving to glass. I love the ride of glass, but like the durability of tin. I'm looking to hear from those that bought a new Lund Crossover. I'm leaning that direction but would like to hear some real life experiences in all three boats.

Thanks

I am in the same situation. I have always owned Pro V's but the kids want to ski/tube more. I just don't know how the Crossover will compare to the 1875 Pro V (IPS I vs IPS II hull, one bilge vs two, no cargo netting etc etc). I would LOVE to see a 1875 glass Pro V!!!!.

Has anyone installed a ski pylon on a Pro V?

Durability of tin won't be as good as glass. At least not in my experience. I went from glass to tin, and will be going back to glass as soon as I sell my boat.

I haven't installed one, but the dealer did. It is on my current 1775 Pro-V. Works well, I used it all last week.

T Mac,

Are they going to upgrade the 186 to Pro V specs (2 bilge pumps etc)?? Are they going to change the gunnels to be like the 197 or are they just changing the name??

PM me and I could send you the number for my local dealer. They have sold a ton of Crossovers this season. Maybe they could share an owner's number with you. I've heard good things, but I have 0 time in them on the water.

I have the new Crossover and am enjoying it so far. I love the in floor storage for wakeboards, skis, and fishing poles. My only complaints are the painted gunnels are really easy to scratch and chip. I wish they would have coated them with a better clear coat or that stuff they put on the front of cars to protect from scratching. Or carpet them to make simplifiy things. But over all it is a great all around boat.

Mine is powered by the new Merc 150 and has 24V Minn Kota Ipilot trolling motor. I'm looking to add a prokicker to finish the package.
