One more thing: it's my understanding that the i-Pilot Link system will ship with a 30' ethernet cable (in addition to the short cable running out of the control head) to facilitate networking i-Pilot Link to any location in the boat, whether it's a single Humminbrd fish finder or the 5-port ethernet hub.

Jason, you were going to look into in for me, maybe answered it on another thread, but I've got a 1197 at the bow, a 1198 at the con and are hooked up with a single 20' ethernet cable. Will I have to reroute the new cable that would come with the link to the 1198 or will I be able to connect the cable from the trolling motor to the cable that would have gone into the back of the 1197? Thanks.

The current information is that i-Pilot Link will run on the 1198 and the 1197. So, you should be able to take the ethernet cable from i-Pilot Link and run it to the ethernet port on either unit. Alternatively, you could add a 5-port ethernet hub and connect the 1197, 1198, and i-Pilot link all to that hub.

Default Yesssss!!

I'm crossing my fingers on your statement about the 1197 being able to use the link as well. I didn't see it in the units that the link would be compatible with on the MK website. Again, hoping that this will work. It would save a lot of headaches.

It's there. This list is current as of 7-16.

Cool....and thanks, I was looking at one of the first links. Any idea on what the cost of the newer Lakemaster SD cards is going to be or will they be around what they were at about $125?

I've been filming pieces all week, starting at installation and working my way through the various functions. So far, Follow the Contour and the Go To functions are my favorite! We've been able to put it to use on some dandy crappies, smallmouth and largemouth. Tomorrow, I plan to go out and try to hunt down some suspended eyes.

Once I have all the editing done, I'll start letting them trickle out....probably starting early next week.

Jason, any word on the cost of the newer Lakemaster chip or will it pretty much stay the same?

I haven't heard anything firm yet on 2013 LakeMaster pricing.
