It's Cabela's second outlet, first one is in Washington state. The store will be located just up the street from a Gander Mountain and a Sears parts store- both places I often visit. Should be fun!

I thought that the small stores were to be called "Outpost" stores.

There is a new biggun going up 3 miles down the road from me. My wallet says it's too dang handy.

Yes, "outpost". About 1/4 the size of a regular Cabelas (which is still pretty big). Right down the parking lot from Gander Mountain.

At least I hope it's not a bargain cave store....I'd be there everyday.

I love cabelas, then scheels. The bass pro shop I go to doesn't have hardly ny spinner blades or minnow buckets (these were the things I looked for last Saturday). I do not have gander but was in one once and it seemed nice

Sorry non-Michiganders, they are also currently building an oulet on the southwest side of Grand Rapids (Grandville), Michigan. The exterior walls are up, and the last I heard is that completion is scheduled for spring 2013. http://www.woodtv.com/dpp/news/local...andville-store

Default Not an outlet.....

It's not an outlet, it's an outpost. These stores will be approximately 40,000 square feet, and will have a majority of inventory that will rotate in and out, depending on the season. These stores are made to fill a niche in existing malls, strip malls, etc.

The Grandville, MI store will be a destination store, 100,000 square feet, complete with a mountain, aquarium, etc. I also believe that it will have boat sales and service.

Oh Great! Now my 300 mile commute will be up to 3 resupply stops, not mention the time involved! I need to retire from being retired!

I was in the Dundee Mi store for the first time in a couple of years. They have moved and downsized the fishing dept. I had a fifty dollar gift card to burn and they really did not have anything I wanted to spend it on. I got a couple of new shirts.

Cabela's / Bass pro rarely have what I am looking for in stock in the stores. They are great if you need clothes though.
