This is my first post here and looking forward to getting a lot of info from everyone.
I have my first real fishing trip planned for next year, were going to Ceaser's Lodge and will be fishing Lake Impossible. My question is this, I have always fished small lakes here in NJ and streams and I have no idea of what type of rod and reel setup I should be get. What lb and type of line? Any info or help you guys can give would be great. Thanks a lot, |

Ask Ceaser's Lodge. I'm assuming they have a website and a "contact us" link. That's what we did when we planned our first Montana trout trip.

Your gear should include, light acton jigging rods, reels spooled up with suffix 832 10 lb. test. rod for casting crank baits, a heavy rod if you plan on fishing for pike, lots of 1/4 -3/8 oz jigs, trigger x minnows, gulp alive mullets, 500 night crawlers, salted minnows, 5' paddletails, This will get you started, do not forget you stringer, and beer batter and peanut oil

Mad,
You mentioned the Lodge and Lake, but where in the world is that lodge and lake? What sort of fish are in the lake. What sort of fish do you want to fish for? REW |

First time there, get a guide for the first day. The rest of your trip will be a lot more enjoyable. He will show you some spots, hot baits, etc. Well worth the money.
