Default Alcova or Pathfinder

Thinking of heading to Wyo this weekend, anyone heard how the fishing is in either of these reservoirs?

Reports I got out of Wyoming last week were only for Boysen and Glendo. Boysen was terrible but Glendo
was still kicking out some quality 'eyes. No word on the two reservoirs you are looking for info on.

Default Alcova/Pathfinder/Glendo

I was on a fly fishing trip up on the Miracle Mile in late June and one of the guides said either Pathfinder or Alcova, one or the other was a fantastic walleye fishery. He said there were 'eyes in both, but one was definitely better than the other. Can't remember which, and don't feel right asking a guide for more free information. Hoping someone will point me in the right direction.

A friend did good at Pathfinder last weekend. He used spinners and worms, I don't know where. Good numbers and some large fish. Alcova is a zoo on the weekend, jet skis, waterskiing etc., I would not fish it on a weekend. I fish Glendo every week. They are still biting, but it has slowed down quite a bit.

Default Thanks

Onemorefish,

Thanks for the tip. Problem is it is Metalfest (methfest) in Alcova this weekend, so not only are there no rooms in the inn, I believe I will stay away from that area.

Gonna probably hit Blue Mesa. The Kokanee are schooling, and although it's bumper boats, it's nice to bring home a bunch of tasty salmon for the grill.

Good fishing everyone, and thanks for the responses.

I know pathy has walleye, but I have yet to pull one in. The trout on the other hand are far bigger at pathy than alcova.

the walleye at alcova are there as well. I have mostly trolled spoons for trout as I want something different from the walleyes from glendo. I have caught a few walleyes on spoons that are ment for trout.
