I wrote down Juls recipe awhile back and have not made it yet. For sure gonna try it this weekend. Is there a particular sausage you recommend? I am a big fan of Jimmy Dean's stuff.

In the morning, he sliced 1/8th inch sections width-wise and fried them in a pan. It takes a while to get both sides crispy brown, but add butter and maple syrup and you are happy happy.

Dad would only make these as a reward for good grades, an achievment or special occasions like birthdays. We had to earn it.

Haven't had fired mush since childhood, but Spam Poopies are part of our Fly-in Breakfast rotation.
I still make fried mush. The only difference is I flour mine before hitting them in a fry pan with real butter. They crisp up nicer.

In fact, I just had some two weeks ago. I've always loved it. Mmmm-Mmmm Good!

Use whatever sausage you like best. Here in Port Clinton, one of the local grocery stores makes their own pork sausage (breakfast sausage) in bulk. It's perfect for this recipe. But, Jimmy Dean's sausage has been used before, and it's good too.
