FLW Walleye Tour: Bay de Noc Day Three
The top ten anglers for the Bay de Noc event left the docks this morning with much anticipation. Once again, and without any surprise, the weather will be a key factor, this morning more than ever. There is a monster storm front moving into the region bringing rain, hail, thunder, lighting and of course wind.
The wind will make travel difficult for the anglers, but as walleye anglers know, lightning will kill a rock bite faster than anything. They will be keeping an eye on the sky and will keep safety as their number one concern, but for Grothe things couldn't be better.
"I have been catching most of my best fish earlier in the day, and with this front moving in, they should really be on the chomp," says the Yamaha Outboard pro. "I am very excited to get the lines in water and hopefully put some big fish in the boat before we have to seek shelter. This is a mean looking storm, but it isn't very big, so we might only loose an hour or so. It will l be interesting to see how the bite changes afterwards, but I am and will remain confident."
Weigh-in will take place at the Escanaba Walmart at 4 PM. Stay tuned for more updates and GOOOOOO ROSS!!!!!!!!
