Well it is about that time of year to get this out. My question is how can I clean it? Should I wash it or is there something I can clean the outside with that wont hurt the repelint ? What would you do? Jim

I was told to wash my gor-tex outfits in a washing machine (regular laundry detergent), run an extra time through a rinse cycle to remove all soap, then dry in the dryer at the hottest setting. My outfit is 8 years old and looks like new.

Do a search in the archives and you will find a link to GORE TEX and there you will find all the info on care of GORE products.
I recomend RIVIVEX to retreat your GUIGEWEAR if you have washed it more then 2 times. It is well worth it. Backwater Eddy...><sUMo>

I wear mine most of the time I am in the boat(I have a tiller, always getting wet) and when I can't stand the smell any longer I just throw it in the washer, usually on the gentle cycle, with laundry detergent and wash it. I put it in the dryer for only about 15 minutes, and then hang it up to let it dry completely. I have done this probably 20 times over the last 7 or 8 years, and it looks great, and it is still very water repellent.
Works for me....gotta love this stuff
