Fished Barcelona Thursday and Friday. Water temps have recovered. Did OK. Used 140' of wire monel with 6 oz lead and the large dipsy set on 3 with 30# braid with 170' out. Friday landed a triple on salmonids with a brown, laker and steelhead. Renowsky and Pirate 28's. When I quit fishing on Friday the surface temp hit 78.2. Have been fishing Erie close to 50 years and never seen it that warm with the exception of the Dunkirk Harbor where my highest recorded temp Was 86 and change prior to the inversion.

Fished Tue and wed out of Barcelona. The first three hours of tue the bite was pretty good and then died to just about nothing for the rest of the day. Wed bite was average at best. The water was very rough both days unless you had a 28 ft cruiser. Most fish came from 85-95ft and 10 color lead core with Renosky's. Dipsy's were second set on #2 150-160ft out with watermelon spinner rigs. Caught a few on other colors as well. Downriggers were slow unless you were just about bouncing them off the bottom with #13 Maxrap's. Tried everything I know how to do but unless you were on the bottom the bite was non existent. Fished west and back east with east producing more fish. Ended the trip with 9 Eye's and one steelhead. Hope this will help someone.
