I totally agree, or in my my dad's case a bow mount trolling motor hater coming over to a bow mount!!

If MG came out with a cable steer model that somehow had autopilot and spot lock I think they'd take a massive market share! Best of both worlds by far. The electronic steering is clumsy for fine control in tight spaces but the autopilot and spot lock are fantastic for deeper water applications.

MK should produce a quick release system the fits both the Foretrex and Terrova engines. I can imagine anglers who spend time fishing different lakes for different species spending the cash for both systems to give them the ideal motor for each situation. A universal quick release mounting plate would make this easy.
