Default IPilot eating batteries when stored

I use to leave my Autopilot plugged in all the time when I store my boat between trips.
Now with the Ipilot I find my batteries are drained down when I do this.
Does this sound normal to you?
I been unpugging the motor now but I forget from time to time then about a week later the batteries need charging.

Default Power Drive or Terrova?

I think if it's a PD model it needs to be unplugged. If its a Terrova then I don't have any suggestions.

Page 36 of the Minn Kota iPilot Owners Manual:
"Power
The i-Pilot controller will turn on whenever the trolling motor has power. For
Terrova and Riptide ST motors this is when the green system ready light is on.
For PowerDrive V2 and Riptide SP motors this is whenever the motor is
connected to power.
* For this reason it is very important to disconnect a PowerDrive V2 or Riptide
SP motor from power when not in use or battery drain will occur.
"

Im guessing you don't have the Terrova, therefore battery drain when stored!

Thank you!
Yes I do have the Power Drive version.
I should read up on it I haven`t learned how to follow tracks.
I just use it like a autopilot with a copilot.

If you can't or don't want to cut power to the motor, store the remote far enough away from the motor that it loses signal. This will accomplish the same thing.
