Great facility for adults and kids. Can get pricey, but they have been running alot of specials lately. Check the website.

Rule out Jamaica if you have fishing aspirations. I've never heard of anyone doing worth a squat. A bit of scam from my research, I looked into it when the wife I went there. Country is a dump to boot. I have no desire to go back after seeing what the rest of the Caribbean has to offer.
I liked St. Lucia, St. Thomas, & St John. Curucao was a great diving spot with friendly people. Disliked Aruba, not much of a gambler and way too rich for my blood.
The Pacific coast of Mexico has some really nice resorts that are quite reasonable. Huatulco comes to mind.

OK is far more dangerous than Cozumel. Great place for a family vacation. Whole Mayan region is very safe. TT

Stayed at a couple of places that had "swim up bars". Met some other people, and we drank beer for beer. I got out and peed twice, and they never moved. Makes me wonder..........

The Riu riviera Maya in Playa Del Carmen would meet all your requirements.

Sandals at Montego bay excellent experience nice thing about Jamaica is they speak english. Been to Mexico ( Moon palace in Cancun) never again. Don't need to leave the resort unless you want to we grabbed a van outside and got a tour of the city. 'Great experience follow directions and we never felt insecure. Montego bay is right next to airport so no long bus rides.

Another option but not all inclusive..

http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...d-golf-resort/

We loved it. Meals and drinks were extra but there are zipline tours, white water rafting, golf, deep sea fishing, jungle horseback riding, etc. all available near the resort. The kids loved it. Safe area, very friendly people.

My other suggestion....if possible, pay the extra for a buddy for the 16 yr. old. That's a tough age for kids hanging around the old folks all the time.
