Default Trouble updating Software

I have the HDS5x Gen 1 and the HDS5M Gen 2. I followed the instructions placing the card in the HDS5M to update the 5x because it doesn't have a card slot. Attempted several different ways , ethernet unit to unit. Through the LSS-1 disconnecting the NMEA cords. Nothing seems to work. I believe I have it saved on the card correctly. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. It should be noted that I did update the 5M first like the instructions stated.

I have a 5x and 5m both Gen1 units. I go Ethernet unit to unit and am able to update per the Lowrance instructions. I wonder if the Gen2 to Gen1 unit is causing the problem?

Default Thinking the same thing

I was thinking the same thing. I sent it into Lowrance and made an inquiry about that. Odd they wouldn't put a card slot on the unit. What if that was the only unit I had and wanted to update it?
