Hey all, it's been awhile.
Here's the deal, the rubber pad on the fender step behind the driver side tire has been coming loose. I actually removed it last week so I wouldn't lose it. Apparently they are held on with some kind of waterproof adhesive. Does anybody know what is used, is it something special? I assume it's not and any waterproof adhesive will work but I'm not 100% sure so I thought I'd ask. I also don't want to use something that is going to degrade the rubber, or worse yet the glass. Thanks for any help.

That's a contact cement too. In fact I've installed carpet in a BUNCH (100's) of boats using a bulk sprayer of what amounts to the 3M stuff. |

I would use black 3M 5200 adhesive.

I haven't tried it yet but my Ranger dealer advised me to use gorilla glue.

I used the 3M 5200 as it was readily available, it seems to have bonded well but time will tell. It looks like I'll have the opportunity to try something else if it doesnt hold, the other three aren't exactly solid anymore either.
Thanks for the suggestions folks.

You will be fine as 3M 5200 is a permanent adhesive and should only be used on applications where never needing to be removed is required. Good stuff for the right application.
