Wondering if anyone out there is running a 60 4-stroke Suzuki? Seen a 05 Tiller and was looking for opinions on this engine. Thanks.

Suzuki makes some of the best motors on the market.
I really know of no problems at all with this engine. REW |

I almost bought a 60 4 stroke and I have heard great things about them. Displacement seems to run larger in the models. But, the thing that nixed it for me was the slim dealer network. Doesn't seem tp be alot of them out there and did not want to drive a long way to have it serviced. That may be something to check out for you.

Suzuki made the Evinrude/Johnson 4-stokes. The engines haven't significantly changed in the last 10 years. So any Johnson/Evinrude mechanic should be able to service a DF60 just fine. Since this is a 2005?, warranty service shouldn't be an issue.
Besides, in the 8 years I have had my Evinrude DF70, it hasn't needed anything but oil changes, spark plugs, and a water pump. Parts from Browns Point Marine delivered to my door and simple to do. |

Dave,
I have to agree with the previous post on that one. Today's motors are very very dependable and trouble free. It is quite likely that you can go for many years with any of today's outboards with 0 problems. Take care REW |

I don't have a 60, i have the 175 4S on my boat. I am completely sold on suzuki after having one. They are fantastic motors and would NOT hesitate to get another. the only drawback is the dealer network.
