Wink Anyone have a vertical rod storage solution for the 1875 Pro-V?

Been racking my brain a bit trying to come up with a decent design for a "run and gun", vertical rod storage system. After seeing how slick they are in the Rangers (Good work MoDog!!!) I think my Pro-V is in need of something like that.

I do have the top hider option so I may incorporate that to some degree... OR maybe try designing something for the bow... Hmmm... And ideas from my fellow W/Cr's?

If the front wall of your consoles aren't padded or upholstered, you could attach simple pieces of PVC pipe to that wall. But if upholstery is present, you don't want to mess that up. Vertical rods would really be in the way if they were on the sides of the bow area.

Default Bert's?

I've got one of these and really like it.

If the link doesn't work it's the Bert's Rod Corral. Nice thing about this one is you can put 8 rods in it and take the whole package into your hotel room with you at night if need be.

Not exactly what you were asking about but really does work great.

I have this and it's cheap and easy. Works great, easily removed and allows you to use for trolling also.

I had vertical tubes on the front and port side of drivers console in my last boat.

It worked well but I always worried about someone losing their balance while stepping up to front deck and breaking several $ worth of rods; never happened however..........

I learned to avoid putting a rod with crankbaits / treble hooks in the port side positions as someone would usually find a way to snag their clothes on them while stepping up.

A friend fishes with me in my current boat and likes to sometimes bring one of the seatbase mounted holders like NICKO mentioned; works OK but have learned to NEVER put it in the base on the rear casting deck as it will interfere with the main motor hood when tilted up.

Just a "word-to-the-wise" as hoods ain't cheap !!!!!!!
