The term "Windward Walleyes" exists for a reason. Although wind blowing onto a shoreline tends to put the walleyes shallower, I would always recommend starting deeper and moving in rather than starting too shallow and spooking fish. An added benefit to this is you get a feel for how boat positioning is going to go before you're too close...might save you a prop or scratches to your rig.
